[09-18-2025] Sonoma County, CA โ€“ 15-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized After Being Struck by Pickup Truck in Crosswalk on Old Redwood Highway in Windsor

A 15-year-old girl was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck while inside a crosswalk on Old Redwood Highway near Thrushwing Avenue in Windsor, Sonoma County, on Thursday evening, September 18, 2025.

According to the Windsor Police Department, officers responded around 7:22 p.m. Emergency crews found the girl, who suffered a fractured pelvis and both feet, as well as injuries to her body, face, and head. She was later airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center and was last reported in stable condition.

Investigators determined that the girl was crossing the roadway in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a Toyota Tacoma. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Windsor PD confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs appears to be a factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
