[09-20-2025] Santa Clara County, CA โ€“ Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Minivan Near Ocala Avenue and Ridgemont Drive in East San Jose

A 24-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a minivan in East San Jose on Saturday morning, September 21, 2025.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:19 a.m. near Ocala Avenue and Ridgemont Drive.

A woman driving a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica was turning left from Ridgemont onto westbound Ocala Avenue when the motorcyclist, riding a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja eastbound, collided with her vehicle. The rider, Matthew A. of San Jose, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coronerโ€™s Office.

The minivan driver remained at the scene and was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. There is no indication that she was cited or arrested.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
