A 62-year-old male bicyclist from Oxnard was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in the El Rio neighborhood of Oxnard on Thursday morning, September 25, 2025.
According to Oxnard Police Sgt. Martin Cook, officers responded just after 10:00 a.m. on northbound Vineyard Avenue near Simon Way.
The cyclist was struck by a northbound semi-truck, causing him to fall. The truck driver, a 55-year-old Oxnard resident, remained at the scene to assist. The cyclist was transported to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition and later died from his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
