According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:55 a.m. just west of Rosemead Boulevard.
The pedestrian, identified by the Medical Examinerโs Office as 30-year-old Aric M., was struck by one or more vehicles while on the freeway. His city of residence was not available.
Authorities continue to investigate the fatal collision.
