[10-29-2025] Shasta County, CA โ€“ Man Hospitalized After Being Struck by Pickup Truck on Bechelli Lane in Redding

A man was hospitalized with traumatic injuries after being struck by a pickup truck on Bechelli Lane in Redding on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2025.

According to the Redding Police Department, officers were called to the 3300 block of Bechelli Lane just after 10 a.m. following reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash. When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the roadway suffering from serious injuries.

The victim was transported to a hospital under trauma alert status. His current condition and age have not been released.

Police said the vehicle involved was a full-size white Ford pickup. Witnesses told officers that the man had been repeatedly crossing Bechelli Lane throughout the morning before being struck.

Authorities said that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, and all parties involved have been cooperative. The roadway was closed for less than an hour while investigators processed the scene.
