[02-18-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Pickup Truck on Seventh St. in Long Beach

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a speeding pickup truck in Long Beach on Wednesday night, February 18, 2026.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 10:50 p.m. on Seventh Street near Cherry Avenue.

Authorities stated a 2007 Toyota Tundra pickup heading eastbound in the right lane struck a man who had walked in between two parked cars and into the roadway.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending family notification, and his age was not immediately available.

The pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The investigation is ongoing.
