[04-06-2026] Shasta County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed After Collision with Toyota Sedan on Dersch Rd.

A 52-year-old male motorcyclist from Anderson was killed after a Toyota sedan collided with him on Dersch Road in Shasta County on Monday evening, April 6, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Dersch Road and Bent Ranch Road, east of Anderson.

Investigators report that the Toyota sedan was traveling eastbound on Dersch Road when it veered across the double yellow lines, directly into the path of the motorcyclist. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from his bike, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 60-year-old man from Shingletown, suffered minor injuries.

The CHP reported that alcohol or drugs did not appear to be factors in the collision. The identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been released.

The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
