[04-29-2025] Tulare County, CA – Driver Killed in Crash with Construction Vehicle on Highway 99

A driver was killed in a crash involving a construction vehicle on Highway 99 in Tulare late Tuesday night, April 29, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. north of Bardsley Avenue.

The male driver of a minivan was traveling southbound in the #2 lane at an unknown speed when he collided with the right rear of a construction vehicle subcontracted by the California Department of Transportation.

The force of the impact caused the minivan driver to be taken to Adventist Health Tulare, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the construction vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The CHP Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team has been called to assist with the investigation into the cause of the crash.
