[05-14-2026] Kern County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle on Snow Rd. in Bakersfield

A 54-year-old man, identified as Sibichan V. of Stevenson Ranch, was killed after being struck by a vehicle in northwes Bakersfield on Thursday night, May 14, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 8:22 p.m. on Snow Road just west of Quail Creek Road.

Authorities stated that a Chevrolet traveling westbound on Snow Road struck the pedestrian after he entered the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said that alcohol and drugs were not considered factors in the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
