[01-02-2026] Alameda County, CA – Bicyclist Killed in Collision With Semi-Truck in Fremont

A bicyclist was killed after colliding with a semi-truck on Osgood Road in Fremont on Friday afternoon, January 2, 2026.

According to the Fremont Police Department, officers responded to the incident just before 12:20 p.m. at the 44000 block of Osgood Road.

A preliminary investigation indicates the truck was traveling northbound on Osgood Road and stopped in a center left-turn lane before beginning a left turn into a business driveway. As the truck turned into the driveway, it collided with an oncoming bicyclist.

The bicyclist was found injured at the scene and later succumbed to their injuries. The identity has not been released. The truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Authorities said impairment is not suspected, and the crash remains under investigation.
