[07-24-2026] Riverside County, CA – Two Adults and Child Injured After Being Struck by Van in East Hemet

Two adults and a child were injured after being struck by a van while walking along Highway 74 in East Hemet on Friday afternoon, July 24, 2026.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 74 and Fairview Avenue.

Authorities said the two adults were pushing a toddler in a stroller when the van struck them at an undetermined speed. The impact caused the victims to fall into the roadway.

The three pedestrians were transported to a regional trauma center for treatment of unspecified injuries. The van driver remained at the scene and was not injured.

The investigation remains ongoing.
