[09-17-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – Three Students, Woman Hospitalized After Being Struck By Vehicle in Modesto

Three Eisenhut Elementary School students and a woman were hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while walking near the Modesto school on Thursday morning, September 17, 2026.

According to Stanislaus Union School District officials, the incident occurred at around 7:45 a.m. at the crosswalk of Janet Drive and Sheldon Drive.

District officials said the three children were walking to school when the incident happened. The students were flown to hospitals for treatment, while the woman was transported by ambulance. Their conditions were not released.

No further details regarding the cause of the incident were immediately available. The investigation remains ongoing.
