[04-01-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – LAPD Officer Injured After a Bicycle Crash in Koreatown

An officer from the Los Angeles Police Department was injured after a suspected drunk driver struck his bicycle in Koreatown on Friday morning, April 1, 2022.

A suspected drunk driver reportedly struck the officer. The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Authorities determined that he may have been under the influence at the time of the crash. He was taken into custody on DUI-related charges.

Meanwhile, the LAPD officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident and was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
