The collision happened near the Point Reyes Lighthouse in Santa Rosa at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Two motorcycles were found down on the roadway. How the collision occurred and why it happened have not been established.

The two motorcycle riders were critically injured in the mishap and had to be airlifted to providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
