According to Fresno police, a man sustained non-life-threatening injuries after an accident with a train early Sunday morning, June 5, 2022.
The crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. on California Avenue and East Street in Fresno.
Officers reportedly received a call about a train colliding with a pedestrian.
According to the police investigation, the man lived in the area and told them he was trying to run across the tracks to beat the train when he was hit.
According to officers, the man, who is in his early 30s, suffered minor cuts and a broken bone as a result of the incident and is expected to recover.
There are no other details available.
The crash remains under investigation.
