One unidentified man was killed following a deadly pedestrian crash near Highway 198 on Saturday night, June 11, 2022.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the crash transpired at around 11:00 p.m. near Highway 198 and 1 ½ Avenue.
A vehicle used a turning lane to pass another car, but the driver struck a pedestrian. The driver then lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a center divider.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the collision. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
