[06-18-2022] Kern County, CA - Fatal Head-On Crash Kills At Least One on Highway 58At least one person was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 58 east of Bakersfield on Friday night, June 18, 2022.

According to the CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page, the crash occurred just after 8:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 58 just west of General Beale Road.

At least two vehicles reportedly collided, with one of them flipping over.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

At least one other person was hurt and was taken to the hospital.

There are no other details available.

The crash remains under investigation.
