Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

When it comes to car accidents, many drivers in California aren’t aware that single-vehicle collisions are some of the most dangerous.

Single-vehicle crashes account for 62% of California’s fatal car accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). California has a disproportionately high number of single-vehicle accidents, so drivers must be aware of the numerous contributing factors.

Single-vehicle collisions are possible for a variety of reasons. Off-the-road accidents can occur when drivers speed or make sharp turns on slick roads. Branches and other debris from passing trucks clog the road.

Unless another driver’s negligence was the cause of a single-car accident, your comprehensive insurance is likely to pay less.

Riverside County Car Accident Lawyers

Returning to work or school after an automobile accident can be challenging for most people. When another person dies as a result of reckless driving, it is still considered a crime. Victims or their heirs can file wrongful death lawsuits against negligent drivers responsible for their loved ones’ deaths.

It’s difficult for them to revisit their painful pasts of loss and grief. Victims are forced to give testimony about their losses in front of strangers during depositions and in courtrooms. People’s mental health is negatively impacted when legal issues take too long to be resolved.

Immediate action is required to hold a driver accountable for a car accident. There needs to be accountability for the high death toll as a result of inattention. Even though pursuing a wrongful death lawsuit can be exhausting, it can also assist the bereaved families in coming to terms with the loss of a beloved member. As a result, motorists in that state can expect major changes in their driving experiences.
