[06-24-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Worker Killed After Falling into Construction Trench in Sun ValleyAccording to authorities, a man apparently fell into a construction trench and died in Sun Valley on Friday afternoon, June 24, 2022.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. at 8405 N. Glenoaks Blvd.

According to the initial reports, the victim was unconscious and had debris on his chest.

According to the Fire Department, the incident changed from rescue to recovery when the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim may have been working in construction for a nearby private company.

The Los Angeles Police Department and California Division of Occupational Safety and Health representatives responded to the scene.

Aerial footage from news sources showed that there were numerous fire trucks and firefighters on the scene.
