According to the Pomona Police Department’s Traffic Services Bureau, a pedestrian died after being struck in a hit-and-run Pomona on Monday, July 11, 2022.
Officers from the Pomona Police Department’s Traffic Services Bureau were called at approximately 9:33 p.m. to Holt Avenue and New York Drive, where they found a man between 30 to 40 years old suffering from severe injuries.
According to evidence at the scene, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle as he crossed the street. Officers searched the area for the involved vehicle but were unable to find it, according to a spokesman for the Pomona Police Department.
When the Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene, they transported the pedestrian to a hospital, where he was later declared dead. At this time, the make, model, and color of the suspect car are unknown, according to the police.
