[07-12-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Pedestrian Woman Struck and Killed by SUV While Crossing Street in West HollywoodA woman died after being struck by an SUV while crossing a street in West Hollywood early Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the crash transpired around 12:30 a.m. near Sunset Boulevard and Hammond Street intersection.

The woman was walking on a marked crosswalk and crossing against a red light when she was hit by an SUV heading east on Sunset.

The driver then hit a parked car and eventually stopped and cooperated with authorities.

The woman died at the scene. She has not been identified, but authorities described her as being in her 30s.

The driver did not appear to be under alcohol or drugs, and no arrests were made.

The speed of the SUV and the cause of the collision is still under investigation, the Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

No further details about the crash have been released. The crash is still under investigation.
