[07-13-2022] Kern County, CA – Single-Vehicle Crash Injured Two People on Manor Street

According to the authorities, a single-vehicle crash tore a Honda Accord in half and injured two people near the bluffs west of Union Avenue Wednesday morning, July 13, 2022.

According to the Police and first responders, the crash occurred just before 8:45 a.m. on Manor Street, southwest of Union Avenue.

The front end of the Accord had been hoisted onto the flatbed of a tow truck while the back seat and trunk were sitting just a stone’s throw away.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, when officers arrived, they determined the vehicle had struck a pillar causing extensive damage.

The driver and only occupant were taken to a local hospital by a good Samaritan, where they were treated for minor injuries.

Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash, but speed appeared to be a factor.
