According to the local authorities, one person was injured and a suspected drunk driver and his passenger were killed when they attempted to flee from police from La Habra into Rowland Heights on Friday, July 1, 2022.
The crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. in Rowland Heights, near Fullerton Road and Aguiro Street.
According to Sgt. Erik Roy of the La Habra Police Department, paramedics transported the second vehicle’s driver to a hospital with minor injuries.
Roy stated that La Habra police officers stopped a vehicle for a possible drunk driver.
The car initially yielded near Harbor Boulevard and Arbolita Drive, then sped off northbound, the officer said.
The brief pursuit came to an end.
The driver and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
