[07-16-2022] San Diego County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck and Killed in La Mesa

According to the La Mesa Police, a pedestrian trying to cross was struck by a vehicle in La Mesa on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

According to the authorities, the crash transpired at about 10:35 p.m. at University Avenue near 70th Street.

According to the police, the pedestrian was struck by a male driver of a Volkswagen Jetta as he attempted to cross University Avenue close to 70th Street.

The driver slowed down right away and dialed 911. Heartland Fire & Rescue responded and attempted to save the pedestrian’s life, but he passed away from his wounds.
