According to local authorities, multiple injuries were reported after a wild high-speed chase with a suspected stolen truck in San Diego on Thursday night, July 18, 2022.
The crash occurred around 7:40 p.m. in the area of State Route 905.
According to SDPD Officer Darius Jamsetjee, San Diego police attempted to pull over the white car, but the driver fled while carrying officers on the ground and in a helicopter.
The female driver made several freeway changes, traveling first southbound on Interstate 805, then westbound on SR-54, before getting off at Highland Avenue.
In the end, the car did purposefully ram three police cars at Highland Avenue and Highway 54, Jamsetjee said.
The driver then re-entered the freeway and headed southbound on I-805.
The driver struck the back of a blue Tesla close to the SR-905 split, starting a chaotic chain of events.
According to Jamsetjee, the collision forced the driver of the stolen car to be ejected onto the road.
The SDPD officer in tow slammed on the breaks to avoid running over the pedestrian on the road. As a result, the back of the first vehicle was struck by two additional SDPD vehicles. The stolen truck, in the meantime, overturned off the highway and landed in a ditch.
The driver of the stolen vehicle and a passenger, who was still inside the vehicle as it rolled over, were both injured and transported to local hospitals. Jamsetjee said the woman was losing consciousness and was transported to a trauma center. A man could be seen in the back of a police vehicle with a neck brace.
An officer did complain of pain due to the collision and was going to seek treatment, Jamsetjee said. No other injuries were reported.

San Diego County Car Accident Lawyers
It is much easier to prosecute two drivers in a two-vehicle accident. It is more difficult to resolve multi-vehicle accidents.
Finding the person or persons responsible is more difficult. If two or more cars collided, it’s possible that many people would have been hurt.
If it is difficult to determine who was at fault in a multi-vehicle collision, you may not want to put your faith in an insurance company. Don’t put your faith in an insurance company’s ability to quickly resolve your claim because they put their own financial interests above those of their customers.
