[08-01-2022] San Bernardino County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Wilson Ranch Road in Phelan

According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck in the community of Phelan early Monday morning, August 1, 2022.

As per CHP, the collision occurred just before 5:00 a.m. on Wilson Ranch Road between Smoketree and Walnut Roads.

When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they found the pedestrian down the road and saw that CPR was being performed. Despite efforts to save their lives, they were declared dead at the scene.

The windshield and hood of the small Ford truck that was involved in the collision were damaged. The male driver, who was unharmed, assisted the authorities in their investigation.

Once they arrived, the San Bernardino County Coroners’ Office took custody of the body. After notifying the next of kin, the identity will be made public.

The California Highway Patrol is looking into what caused the collision.
