[08-11-2022] San Diego County, CA - 21-Year-Old Woman Injured in DUI Crash on SR-94According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, a 21-year-old woman was injured after a driver who is believed to have been under the influence caused a car accident in San Diego on Thursday, August 11.

The crash occurred around 1:00 p.m. on State Route 94.

Someone called the police to report that a car was on SR 94 heading east. A GMC SUV being operated by a 21-year-old woman was struck by a Cadillac sedan being driven by a 37-year-old man.

The woman’s wounds were not severe.

According to CHP spokesperson Jesse Matias in a release, medical professionals were treating the male driver when he became uncooperative; authorities were forced to restrain him on a gurney.

Due to this, it was determined that the Cadillac driver displayed signs of drug impairment, and he was subsequently arrested. He was also brought to a hospital as a precaution.
