[09-22-2022] San Diego County, CA - Three-Vehicle Collision Results in One Death and Injuries in EscondidoAccording to authorities, a motorcycle rider died in a three-vehicle collision in Escondido on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

Around 4:35 p.m., the mishap took place. CHP officer Hunter Gerber said in a news release on Friday that the accident happened on Bear Valley Parkway at Birch Avenue.

According to the CHP official, a black Harley Davidson Street Glide driven by a 41-year-old Valley Center resident was struck by a silver Hyundai Sonata being driven by a 43-year-old woman in the middle of the intersection of Birch Avenue.

The motorcyclist struck a parked Hyundai Accent that was empty and two pedestrians north of Birch Avenue as a result of the collision.

According to Gerber, local authorities took the rider to the hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.

The driver of the Hyundai Sonata was unharmed, but the two pedestrians, a 33-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, both suffered minor injuries.
