[06-27-2021] San Bernardino County, CA – Two People Killed After a Fiery Wrong-Way Collision in Rialto

Two people were killed after a fiery wrong-way collision in Rialto on Monday evening, June 27.

The deadly collision occurred on the westbound 201 Freeway near Pepper Avenue in Rialto at around 7:30 p.m. One vehicle was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes, swerving across lanes and crashing into other vehicles.

One of the cars that the wrong-way driver struck caught fire. The fire spread to the road but was immediately extinguished. Several people had to be rescued from the burning vehicle.

Two people were killed in the crash. The identities of the parties involved have not been disclosed.

Details about the accident are limited at the moment. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
