[01-11-2022] Kern County, CA – Man Killed on Highway 99 Pedestrian Crash, Involved in a Prior Crash

An unidentified man was killed after a fatal pedestrian crash in Bakersfield on Tuesday morning, January 11, 2022. The man was reportedly involved in a previous hit-and-run crash before the pedestrian accident.

The unidentified man then reportedly fled the scene on foot and crossed the center barrier wall into the southbound lanes of Highway 99, where a semi-truck later struck him.

Unfortunately, the unidentified man was later pronounced dead at the scene. Inxotication was suspected to be a factor in the accident.
