Two people were hurt following a multi-vehicle traffic collision in Bishop on Friday morning, January 14, 2022.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 395, just north of Brockman Lane.
A 2015 Freightliner semi-truck was heading northbound on U.S. Highway 395 when it pulled into a center median as it attempted to turn right into a private residence.
Unfortunately, a speeding northbound 2010 Ford Explorer was unable to stop in time and crashed into the right front side of the 2015 Freightliner.
Due to the severity of the impact, the Ford Explorer lost control and overturned across the highway before stopping in the southbound lanes.
As the Ford overturned, it crashed into the left rear-side of a southbound Ford Ecoline.
Two people sustained minor injuries in the mishap. They were taken to Northern Inyo Hospital for treatment.
The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the cause of the accident.
