[01-19-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Elderly Woman Killed After Being Struck by SUV While Crossing The Street In Yucaipa

A 74-year-old woman was struck and killed by a driver while crossing the street in Yucaipa, San Bernardino County, on Monday morning, January 19, 2026.

According to San Bernardino County deputies, the crash occurred around 9:44 a.m. at the intersection of Yucaipa Boulevard and 5th Street.

Authorities said that the woman was walking in a marked crosswalk when the driver of the Hyundai Tucson SUV made a right turn onto Yucaipa Boulevard and struck her.

Officers confirmed that the woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Detectives indicated that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the collision.

The incident remains under investigation.
