According to reports, the accident occurred around 5:06 p.m. on Toopal Drive near the Oceanside Airport.

Authorities stated that the victim crashed into a house’s roof before landing on the ground, causing a traumatic injury.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived eight minutes after a 911 call.

The skydiver was transported by the Carlsbad Fire Department ambulance to an air ambulance waiting at the airport.

Mercy Air then flew the patient to a trauma center for further treatment.

No other residents in the area were injured.
