A single-vehicle crash killed two people, identified as Rex Aziz C. and Riley Han S., and injured one person in San Juan Capistrano on Sunday night, January 29, 2023.
Reports confirmed that the deadly collision occurred around 10:00 p.m. between Rancho Viejo and Malaspina Roads, east of the 5 Freeway.
Authorities received calls of the crash and discovered the 21-year-old driver and the 19-year-old man unresponsive in the front seats of a sedan.
A third man in the back seat was hospitalized and in critical condition.
The victims were a 19-year-old man from San Juan Capistrano and a 21-year-old driver from Creston, northeast Morro Bay.
