[01-31-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – 68-Year-Old Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Lancaster

A pedestrian collision fatally struck a 68-year-old woman, Elsa Leticia G., in Lancaster on Tuesday night, January 31, 2023.

According to authorities, the deadly crash transpired around 7:45 p.m. at Avenue J and 200th Street East intersection.

Reports indicated that the Woman drove a 2004 Toyota obstructing the eastbound and westbound lanes of Avenue J when it was stopped facing east.

The victim was struck by a Ford driven by 52-year-old Barstow resident Rosa A. and carrying 56-year-old Maria R. as a passenger as it traveled west on Avenue J.

Upon arrival, paramedics immediately rushed, and they pronounced the victim had succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, none of the occupants in the Ford vehicle were injured.

The environment was gloomy, chilly, calm, and dry at the time of the collision.

The use of drugs or alcohol is not thought to have contributed to the collision.

The driver remained at the scene and helped the police with their investigation.
