A female pedestrian in her 70s was struck in a hit-and-run crash in San Marino on Wednesday morning, February 01, 2023.
According to the San Marino Police Department, the fatal crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. on South Los Robles Avenue at Oak Street.
The woman was believed to be crossing the street with no marked crosswalk when an unidentified car hit her. She reportedly travels the route daily to a bus stop to get to work.
The victim was found lying on the roadway by an on-duty Pasadena police officer. She was transported to the hospital unconscious with non-life-threatening injuries. There are no words on her current state. The driver did not stop to provide assistance and fled the scene.
The Alhambra and South Pasadena police were alerted to be on the lookout for cars with damage to the front. The authorities released no further details at the moment.
