[02-01-2023] Cyclist Pronounced Dead After Being Struck by Vehicle in Dana PointA cyclist was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Dana Point on Wednesday afternoon, February 1, 2023.

According to reports, the deadly crash occurred around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Crown Valley Parkway.

Authorities stated that the victim was struck from behind by a white Lexus. Due to the impact, the cyclist was thrown into the intersection.

The Lexus driver then exited the vehicle and continued to assault the cyclist.

Authorities have not stated whether the cyclist was stabbed, however, they died later at the hospital.

The suspect was taken into custody by witnesses before law enforcement arrived.
