American highways are frequently congested by massive commercial trucks bearing various names. Big rigs, 18-wheelers, tractor-trailers, and semi-trailers are all names for these trucks.

Trucks are involved in some of the deadliest collisions on American highways and roads. Because tractor-trailers and passenger cars are so dissimilar in size, big rig accidents frequently result in more fatalities than other vehicle accidents.

Several factors must be considered in 18-wheeler collision investigations. Some of the causes of these accidents are loss of truck control, tire blowouts, incapacitating or incapacitating vehicle malfunctions, excessive speed, lane drifting, improper truck maneuvers, and driver fatigue.
