A car chase that caused a two-vehicle collision injured four people in La Mesa on Tuesday morning, February 7, 2023.
According to reports, the crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. west on State Route 94 at Spring Street.
Authorities chased two juveniles in a stolen blue Hyundai Sonata when they allegedly ran a red light and collided with a white Nissan Altima.
The Altima was carrying a family of five, with an infant, a toddler, and a young girl. Four crash victims were transported to a nearby hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
EPD believes impaired driving wasn’t a factor in the arrests of both juveniles.
Authorities believe they will face charges such as evading police and child endangerment.
