[02-08-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Three People Injured Following a Train Collision on Rancho Avenue

A train collision injured three people in San Bernardino on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

According to authorities, the collision occurred on Rancho Avenue.

Reports indicated that the truck driver approached the tracks at an unsafe speed when it failed to stop for the guard crossing arm and collided with the Metrolink train traveling eastbound.

There were more than 30 passengers aboard the train at the time of the crash.

Due to the impact, the truck was left in a mangled state, with debris strewn across the railroad.

The truck driver and the passenger were taken to a local hospital and are still in critical condition.

Meanwhile, only one Metrolink passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash.
