[02-09-2022] San Diego County, CA – One Man Struck and Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 805

A man was struck and seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday morning, February 9, 2022.

The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. on the freeway’s northbound lanes near Mission Valley.

According to authorities, a red sedan struck the man on the No. 3 lane near the Interstate 8 interchange.

According to reports, the man was trying to cross the freeway at the time.

When medics arrived, they discovered the man had an open head fracture.

Officers issued an alert in the meantime, closing all three lanes while clearing the scene before reopening thm around 9:00 a.m.
