[02-09-2023] Kern County, CA – Unidentified Pedestrian Struck and Killed by a Vehicle on Highway 99

An unidentified person was fatally struck by a vehicle in Bakersfield on Thursday night, February 9, 2023.

Authorities confirmed that the collision transpired around 8:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 99, just south of the Panama Lane exit.

Reports indicated that officers were notified of the crash, discovered a body on the ground, and determined the deceased was hit by a vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol stated that they were escorting vehicles away from the scene of the collision.
