[02-11-2023] Elderly Woman Injured by Car in Castro Valley Hit & Run CrashA 77-year-old woman was injured after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Castro Valley, Alameda County, on Saturday night, February 11, 2023.

According to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at about 7:25 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church parking lot at 2900 Grove Way.

The investigation suggested that the elderly woman yelled at the male driver of a mid-2010s white Nissan Sentra after the car brushed up against her. The driver yelled back, turned around, and purposely hit the victim before fleeing the scene.

The woman was launched onto the car’s hood before falling to the ground. No further reports on the extent of her injuries and her current condition were immediately available.

The driver traveled west towards Redwood Road. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the authorities as the search and investigation continue.
