[02-11-2023] Head-On Collision in Baker Resulted in One Fatality, Two InjuriesA person was killed, and two were injured following a two-vehicle collision in San Bernardino County on Saturday night, February 11, 2023.

According to reports, the crash transpired around 6:09 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15, about two miles after the Midway Rest Area.

Authorities stated that a Cadillac SUV reportedly collided head-on with an unidentified car under unclear circumstances.

A southbound vehicle drove through the center median and collided with a northbound car.

Firefighters were called to the scene and assisted the victims. Two helicopters were requested to transport two victims who sustained severe injuries.

One helicopter landed at the scene and flew a person to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas in critical condition.

In critical condition, the second helicopter flew the second person to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas.

One of the people that was airlifted to the hospital died from their injuries.

The head-on crash location was blocking the fast lane, and investigations are underway.
