According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 6:15 a.m. on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway west of Hubbard Street.

The pedestrian was found dead and reported by a 911 caller lying on the highway’s No. 2 lane. The CHP logs stated that a white semi-truck initially struck the man before getting hit again by a pickup truck. Both vehicles reportedly remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was declared dead at the site. No further details on the man’s identification were immediately known.

All the freeway’s eastbound lanes past Hubbard Street were shut down to make way for an investigation.
