An unidentified man was killed after a fatal hit-and-run crash in San Rafael on Saturday night, February 19, 2022.
The fatal hit-and-run accident occurred on Interstate 580 near San Rafael at approximately 11:45 p.m.
A vehicle reportedly went out of control on the westbound lanes of I-580 for unclear reasons and crashed into the center divider. It then spun around and started to face the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, a man’s body was found near the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. Authorities suspect that the two incidents may have been connected. It’s unclear who struck the victim. Authorities suspect that another vehicle may have struck the man as well.
Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Information about the accident is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
