[02-20-2023] Sacramento County, CA – Young Girl Sent to Hospital After Car Crashed into Restaurant at Alta Arden

A 6 to 7 years old girl was taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a restaurant in Sacramento on Monday evening, February 20, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at night in a restaurant at the 2500 block of Alta Arden Expressway.

CHP officials said a food delivery driver who picked up food mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing him to drove into the restaurant.

The manager claimed a girl was being dragged on the chairs by the car while her mother tried to pull her. She was transported to the hospital with minor injuries to her face.

The car was removed from the establishment while the staff started cleaning up. No further details were available as further investigation continued.
