An unidentified motorcycle rider was killed following a deadly motorcycle crash involving a van at an intersection in Riverside on Thursday afternoon, February 24, 2022.
The fatal collision took place at the intersection of University Avenue and Orange Street at approximately 2:12 p.m.
A westbound Ford Transit Connect van was traveling on University Avenue when it crashed into an eastbound motorcycle rider.
It’s unclear what caused the two vehicles to collide. The motorcycle rider was immediately taken to Riverside Community Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the van driver that struck the rider remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities. He was uninjured in the mishap.
