[03-01-2022] Riverside County, CA – 15-Year-Old Boy Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash in Poplar Street

According to the authorities, a teenager identified as 15-year-old Javier G. was fatally struck by a pickup truck in Riverside, Tuesday evening last month, March 1, 2022.

According to Officer Ryan Railsback, Riverside Police Department spokesman, the fatal crash happened at 9:30 p.m. near Main and Poplar streets in an industrial area south of Spruce Street and west of the 91/60 interchange.

According to police, the teen was riding his bicycle north in the middle of the street when he was struck by a pickup truck traveling south.

The driver of the truck then fled the scene without stopping.

The fatal accident was captured on surveillance video from several businesses in the area, which assisted detectives in gathering information of the suspect.
