[03-09-2022] Riverside County, CA – One Person Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig on 215 Freeway

At least one person was injured in a crash involving three other vehicles, which caused a tractor-trailer to overturn and block all southbound lanes on Interstate 215 in Riverside on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

The agency stated that the big rig crossed the center line and collided with an Audi and two SUVs, though the circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately clear.

Within minutes, Riverside Fire Department crews arrived at the scene and discovered one motorist with unspecified injuries.

All lanes were blocked because of the traffic jam, prompting a Sigalert. According to reports from the scene, CHP officers were able to open the slow lane by 10:30 a.m., but the other three southbound lanes remained closed.

There are no other details available. The crash remains under investigation.
